BBA certification for Naue geogrids

We are pleased to announce that the British Board of Agrément (BBA) has recognised the unique properties of Secugrid^® geogrids and Combigrid® geocomposites by awarding Naue a BBA Certificate for the use as soil stabilisation in roads and working platforms.

Rigorous testing validates superior quality and reliability

Products, both innovative and existing, that look to achieve BBA Certification are subjected to rigorous testing and auditing before they are certified. Both Secugrid^® and Combigrid^® underwent this stringent process and are now certified, further confirming their unique performance properties for stabilisation. This complements our CE Marking for stabilisation, which was earlier obtained through a European Technical Assessment (ETA), by assessing the performance in relation to the essential characteristics of the product.

Recognised for unmatched performance in soil stabilisation

Both the new BBA certificate as well as the ETA underline the unique performance of Secugrid^® and Combigrid^® in the stabilisation of unbound aggregate. The essential performance feature of Secugrid^® and Combigrid^® for an effective stabilisation (stiffening) of unbound aggregate is their rigidity and extensional stiffness. This characteristic describes the resistance of the geogrid to reliably counteract loosening effects within the base layer in any direction, caused by cyclic and dynamic stresses from traffic loads.

This helps increasing the load-bearing capacity of unbound aggregate over soft ground, reducing maintenance cycles and extending the service life of traffic areas in the long run.
